Tango of Clean

SATB Piano
This was written for Lisa Ward and ihana youth choir in Red Deer Alberta. The text is found on a shampoo bottle. This piece is fun to rehearse, challenging and fun to perform, and always gets some laughs and enthusiastic appreciation from audiences. It features a diva soprano solo, a women’s hairdresser trio, and SATB chorus. The piano accompaniment demands an accomplished performer who can share a bit of dramatic flare with the audience. Likewise, the choral parts have some challenges, and the performers become more interactive as the piece progresses. It’s a perfect piece to program just before intermission.
